Recent Reviews The Woods Apartments

Don’t rent at The Woods Apartments — surprise charges and broken promises I rarely leave reviews, but this place earned it. When moving out, we specifically asked if we could clean the apartment ourselves to avoid being charged cleaning fees. The staff said it was fine — so we spent hours deep-cleaning everything and even used a professional carpet shampoo vacuum to make sure it looked spotless. A few weeks later, the move-out statement showed hundreds of dollars in “cleaning” and “carpet cleaning” charges anyway. They also tacked on new barcode stickers that we simply couldn’t remove, which we told them about and they said its fine. It honestly feels like they just find ways to eat up your deposit no matter what you do. We did everything right — paid rent on time, left the place cleaner than when we moved in — and still got hit with unfair charges. If you value honesty or transparency, look somewhere else. The Woods looks decent from the outside, but once you move out, you’ll see their real business model. And that not to mention their terrible security which they changed 5 times since we lived there.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I had a wonderful experience working with Brianna throughout the leasing process. She was professional, responsive, and made everything smooth and stress-free from start to finish. Brianna took the time to answer all my questions, kept me informed every step of the way, and made sure the entire process was handled efficiently. Her friendly attitude, attention to detail, and excellent customer service truly stood out. I highly recommend Brianna to anyone looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated leasing agent. Thank you for making the experience so easy and pleasant!

I am writing to formally recognize the exceptional service provided by Alex Tariq during my recent leasing process search. From the very first showing, they were thorough, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in helping me find the right home rather than just closing a deal. They went above and beyond by accommodating my viewing schedule. Their communication was proactive, and I always felt fully informed. He is a true professional, and I believe they are a tremendous asset to your team. I will certainly recommend this property to others based on this experience.

Definitely the worst place I’ve ever lived in my entire life. As other reviews have mentioned, there was a heavy police presence constantly. Management of the WOODS never disclosed why multiple days a week every week there would be 4 to 6 police cars in the complex. Packages were constantly stolen security seemed disinterested at best. They did, however give my girlfriend a good looking over one night when we sat in the complex, hot tub too late. These minor inconveniences where just the tip of the iceberg in the WOODS lifestyle. Wait, till you have a maintenance issue! I came home one Saturday late morning to find my bathtub, overflowing with the upstairs neighbors sewage (pictures attached). I of course, immediately reported this to maintenance and they did respond fairly quickly and tried to clean up the mess. A few hours later, a third-party plumber came out to resolve the issue. As he did his work, he and I got around to talking and he disclosed that he had been there early that morning working on the plumbing. He also disclosed that about a year prior the exact issue had occurred and flooded out my apartment prior to my tenancy. After the plumbing issue was finally resolved I went to building management to see what they were going do about this giant catastrophe. And the short answer was nothing. They told me all my property that was damaged I could claim on my renters insurance. They would not discount my rent at all during the period of time that my apartment was damaged approximately six weeks. Their repairs consisted of cleaning the carpet, running some dehumidifiers and replacing the carpet pad. They would not put me up in a hotel the first couple of days as my apartment was drying out. Now that I’ve moved out, they are trying to withhold portions of my security deposit for damages caused during this incident. Steer clear of these apartments in this management company.

We’ve lived at The Woods Apartments for 4 years, and while it started off calm, the last few years have been a complete nightmare. What used to be a decent place has spiraled into one of the worst living experiences imaginable. Security is basically nonexistent. I’ve had four bikes stolen, all locked, and recently even had our car broken into. Thieves walk around freely here, and management does nothing to stop it. But when it comes to towing, the security is lightning fast. They’ll call a tow truck in under 5 minutes. No warning, no contact, nothing. They seem to care more about towing tenants’ cars than protecting them from actual criminals. The towing situation is a nightmare on its own. The companies The Woods works with are aggressive and hostile . My 19 year old brother had just gotten a new car, didn’t even have time to get a parking sticker, and the towers tried to tow him immediately. When he tried to reason with them, they got physical and after a fight had tried to escalate the situation again.(That's what you're seeing on the attachment bellow) That’s the type of people The Woods brings onto their property. And that’s just scratching the surface. Honestly, it’s only about 30% of the problems here. The pool hours keep getting cut shorter, the gym is filled with junky equipment, and rent goes up every year despite everything getting worse. The Woods has gone from “okay” to an outright scam. Save yourself the stress and money. There are plenty of other apartments out there, don’t make the mistake of moving here. The Woods looks fine on the surface, but living here will make you regret it.

Front desk lady with the black hair is not helpful at all. Told me to make an appointment for a single question when the leading agents were visibly vacant. In the end the kind leasing agent did help me once I went out my way to knock and ask. Had to get her male manager to ask if I was okay too. Not necessary...
